You will be asked to answer 50 multiple choice questions. To pass you must answer 43 questions correctly followed by a test of your hazard perception skills. You will need to pass both parts of the theory test at the same time. The theory test currently costs £31 & the local test centre is in chatham. Since changes in February 2012 the theory test has been made more difficult as the questions are no longer available online. The Driving test lasts approximately 40 minutes and the local test centre is in Armstrong Road, Maidstone. On your Driving test you will be expected to drive on many different roads including town, country and busy suburban areas. Also you will be asked to do one reversing maneouvre and to drive Independently for approximately 10 minutes, which will either be following road signs or follow a series of verbal instructions.
How long will it take to pass my Driving Test?
According to the Driving Standards Agency, those who pass their Driving Test have had, on average, 45 hours of professional Driving Lessons combined with 20 hours of private practice. Learners who combine professional Driving Lessons with private practice are also more likely to be successful on test. The Driving Test currently costs £62.00.
